Description: One fall day I went to do some photography at Paul Lake. For anyone interested in wildlife photography, Paul Lake is a great place to go! On this particular trip I was searching for beavers but I noticed this Great Blue Heron on a completely isolated perch. Soon the sun set. High stormy clouds created interesting orange light right after the sunset. I was able to completely frame the bird in the interesting light. I got really lucky that day. I've only seen light like that once or twice since that day!
